Weather and climate can be tricky topics to broach based on varying opinions and ideas of what extreme weather actually is. Hosting a listening session is a great way to gather a general idea of how people think the effects of extreme weather can be mitigated. This group did a great job by hosting the event in multiple counties. Remember an area just 20 minutes away can experience weather that’s different from your own. Each conversation topic is flexible and highlights amplifying voices in the audience instead of assuming everyone has the same mitigation mindset.
