SARE: Building Soils for Better Crops
The Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education (SARE) has produced a comprehensive guide to building healthy soils through soil health practices in Building Soils for Better Crops by Fred Magdoff and Harold van Es. This 400+ page book is available free in pdf format and includes information about soil systems, management practices, and integrating practices together in sustainable systems.
Cover Crops Incentives Explorer
The Cover Crops Incentives Explorer Tool is created by Maria Teresa Tancredi and Michaela Lubbers, two graduate students at the University of Georgia working under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Jo Thompson. This tool summarizes federal and state financial incentives supporting cover crop use. The Cover Crops Incentives Explorer Tool is developed through the Precision Sustainable Agriculture (PSA) project and financed by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
